(Click the above images to view in the gallery) It seems newly engaged Drew Barrymore is still pinching herself after fiancé Will Kopelman popped the question. The bride to be told Good Morning America that she is just enjoying the moment before beginning to plan her big day. The 36-year-old actress said that when it comes to the daunting task of making arrangements, she is ‘just trying to figure it out’. She told the chat show host Robin Roberts: ‘I think everyone expects you to kind of know right away what all the plans are. ‘And I’m like, oh goodness, it just happened a month ago. Do I not have it together, or is it okay to keep daydreaming?’ But one thing the Going The Distance star is sure of is how positive her new fiancé makes her feel. She gushed: ‘I root for his happiness and people’s happiness. You know, this is a really positive story and it’s just a positive time. I like positivity, I’m a sucker for it.’ She showed off her enormous diamond ring, which weighs in at just less than 4 carats, and could barely keep a smile off her face as she was interviewed on the show. And Robin pointed out that she was sporting her fiancé’s watch, describing the sweet gesture as ‘real love’. Drew was appearing on the talk show to promote her latest movie, Big Miracle, which is based on a true story. Will proposed marriage during a romantic Christmas getaway to Sun Valley in Idaho. And E.T. star Drew spoke out about her delight to InStyle magazine earlier this month. She said of her beau: ‘He’s lovely. He’s very, very nice. It’s really positive. I’m super happy.’ She added of their life: ‘It’s just the best! We go on group trips and spend holidays together – there’s a lot of love! ‘And that is really nice and very different from the way I grew up, which was more unstable and inconsistent, with a lot of highs and lows ‘It’s funny, when I was younger, I used to say I’d hate a flat line – that I want the ups and the downs, the roller coaster. But I’m actually really enjoying the flat line.’ It will be Drew’s third marriage. She wed Welsh bar owner Jeremy Thomas in March 1994, but the pair split after just one month. Drew tied the knot again in 2001 to comic Tom Green, but the marriage was also short-lived, lasting only five months. source: Daily Mail |

Check out Drew Barrymore and John Krasinski in the trailer for their new film, Big Miracle! Here’s the synopsis: A small town news reporter Adam Carlson (Krasinski) and a Greenpeace volunteer Rachel Kramer (Barrymore) are joined by rival world superpowers to save a family of majestic gray whales trapped by rapidly forming ice in the Arctic Circle. Adam can’t wait to escape the northern tip of Alaska for a bigger market. But just when the story of his career breaks, the world comes chasing it, too. With an oil tycoon, heads of state and hungry journalists descending upon the frigid outpost, the one who worries Adam the most is Rachel. Not only is she an outspoken environmentalist, she’s also his ex-girlfriend. With time running out, Rachel and Adam must rally an unlikely coalition of Inuit natives, oil companies and Russian and American military to set aside their differences and free the whales. Following her 2009 directorial debut, Whip It, Drew Barrymore is back in the game with her MTV “Supervideo” for “Our Deal” from the surf-pop indie band, Best Coast. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Barrymore opened up about the opportunity to work with MTV and why she chose a West Side Story theme for the video. “I’ve never done a music video and I’ve always wanted to. The format is dying!” Barrymore explained of her decision try a new creative outlet. “What I love about music videos are the stories in them.” A fan of romance, action, and tragic love stories, Barrymore opted to draw on Romeo and Juliet, West Side Story, The Warriors and The Outsiders – all while keeping actress Chloe Moretz in mind for the lead. As for Tyler Posey, Barrymore discovered the Teen Wolf star along the way. “I didn’t want to do a period piece, per se. For this, I thought, stick with the timeless,” she explained. “Take a jean jacket, its ‘50s, ‘70s, ‘90s, now… And I never met a graffiti I didn’t like! That’s how it all started.” What started out as a small 2-minute project quickly escalated to an 11-minute video as Barrymore realized her ambitions. After asking MTV for permission to expand the project, the short was filmed in downtown LA on a shoestring budget and in only two days. Barrymore called in “every favor on the planet” to make it happen. “MTV Networks finally decided they would let us make and air the 11-minute version. That, for me, is the greatest lesson in all of this,” she recalled. “If you really push yourself, you could create an opportunity for yourself that wouldn’t have happened otherwise. You have to earn it, and you gotta go out there and make it happen. How could I push the limit? Went outside the traditional lines on this one, I feel really lucky, just another side to me to not sit with your dreams, and try to make them manifest.” Adding, “I spent three years on Whip It, and to do this in two days – wow. It gave me hope that you don’t have to take yourself so seriously.” Watch the full, extended version of the music video below. Get More: MTV Supervideo, Music, Best Coast |
