The bride to be told Good Morning America that she is just enjoying the moment before beginning to plan her big day. The 36-year-old actress said that when it comes to the daunting task of making arrangements, she is ‘just trying to figure it out’. She told the chat show host Robin Roberts: ‘I think everyone expects you to kind of know right away what all the plans are. ‘And I’m like, oh goodness, it just happened a month ago. Do I not have it together, or is it okay to keep daydreaming?’ But one thing the Going The Distance star is sure of is how positive her new fiancé makes her feel. She gushed: ‘I root for his happiness and people’s happiness. You know, this is a really positive story and it’s just a positive time. I like positivity, I’m a sucker for it.’ She showed off her enormous diamond ring, which weighs in at just less than 4 carats, and could barely keep a smile off her face as she was interviewed on the show. And Robin pointed out that she was sporting her fiancé’s watch, describing the sweet gesture as ‘real love’. Drew was appearing on the talk show to promote her latest movie, Big Miracle, which is based on a true story. Will proposed marriage during a romantic Christmas getaway to Sun Valley in Idaho. And E.T. star Drew spoke out about her delight to InStyle magazine earlier this month. She said of her beau: ‘He’s lovely. He’s very, very nice. It’s really positive. I’m super happy.’ She added of their life: ‘It’s just the best! We go on group trips and spend holidays together – there’s a lot of love! ‘And that is really nice and very different from the way I grew up, which was more unstable and inconsistent, with a lot of highs and lows ‘It’s funny, when I was younger, I used to say I’d hate a flat line – that I want the ups and the downs, the roller coaster. But I’m actually really enjoying the flat line.’ It will be Drew’s third marriage. She wed Welsh bar owner Jeremy Thomas in March 1994, but the pair split after just one month. Drew Barrymore is returning to the director’s chair for her sophomore effort, How to Be Single, a New Line romantic comedy that Barrymore is also producing with her Flower Film partner Nancy Juvonen. Single is based on the same-titled novel written by Liz Tuccillo and published by Atria on June 10, 2008. In the mold of New Line’s successful multi-story pics such as He’s Just Not That Into You and Valentine’s Day, Single explores the loves lives and break-ups of a group of New Yorkers over the course of ten years. Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn wrote the adaptation. (Single actually is a reteaming of the Not That Into You team; Barrymore and Juvonen produced that movie while Silverstein and Kohn wrote the script.) Michele Weiss and Michael Disco are overseeing. Barrymore, repped by CAA and attorney Steve Warren, made her directing debut in 2009 with Whip It, the well-regarded female-centric roller derby flick starring Ellen Page, Kristen Wiig, and Marcia Gay Harden among others. Gough and Millar will serve as executive producers for the pilot as well, along with help from Drew Barrymore, who appeared in the recent “Charlie’s Angels” film. Rumor has it the series could begin filming in Miami next year. The project has gone through a number of ups and down since its first mention about a year ago. “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” writer Josh Friedman was initially brought in to write a script for the pilot but was later replaced at the network’s request. The project suffered another setback when ABC president Steve McPherson stepped down.
